A new ‘Five Star Plus’ hotel located in a new area of the city that has been reconstructed from land destroyed in the Lebanese civil war. With views over a new central park to the Mediterranean, this building provides luxury rooms, presidential apartments and imposing public areas and is a landmark and social destination in the revival of the ‘Switzerland of the East’. Major Lebanese business interests and one of the world’s principal hoteliers commissioned the project. The design was prepared in collaboration with Lebanese firm Dagher Architects and maintains the local character while responding to modern needs.
