A unique dining table designed for a country house as a set of three to be used together or individually. The table can be set against a wall and tilted over to show the special inlay decoration on the underside. The top is supported on a carved mermaid and, from the inlaid rope decoration on the surface to the unusual ‘breaking wave’ scroll feet, the maritime theme is maintained throughout. The originals now form part of an important private furniture collection.
