Four seasons pembroke table
A new interpretation of a table created in the eighteenth century for the Duchess of Pembroke. This table is a small occasional table with side flaps which fold down for easy storage. The legs are designed as four simplified female figures derived from ancient Roman column statues, or herms. They represent the four seasons. The square top is inlaid with a circle of burr maple veneer. This table is on permanent display in the Victoria and Albert Museum in London.
