To be located on a demesne on the Blackwater estuary, a few miles to the north of Youghal in County Waterford. The current owner has carried out a number of improvements and restoration work on the demesne. As part of this ongoing programme ADAM Architecture were asked to design a new Banqueting House as a central focus in the large walled garden close to the main house. The scheme for the building and the overall restoration of the walled garden was the subject of extensive pre-application consultation with Waterford County Council, as well as other interested parties such as An Tiasce (National Trust for Ireland) and Irish Heritage. Planning permission was obtained in early 2008. The restoration work to the walled garden is ongoing and it is hoped the construction of the Banqueting House will start during 2010.
