The Growth Area is a new urban extension to Newquay on land owned by the Duchy of Cornwall. ADAM Architecture has worked with The Prince’s Foundation on a detailed masterplan for the site, building upon the concept by Leon Krier and Colum Mulhern. The driving principles are sustainability and the creation of a high quality, distinctive neighbourhood that relates architecturally to the existing town. The masterplan contains various phases of development, establishing a long-term vision for the town and addressing the needs of the local community. The plan has been designed in accordance with the Pattern Book and Building Code documents, devised by ADAM Architecture to guide the detailed design of the site.
