A masterplan for a new mixed-use residential development of around 4,500 homes at Aldershot in Hampshire. The 148 hectare site is surplus military land owned by Ministry of Defence. The scheme will provide community facilities, schools, local centres and leisure facilities. The plan will include the restoration and conservation of several historic buildings, including the landmark Cambridge Military Hospital. Work is expected to start on site in 2012.
