Sheridan House, a commercial building in Winchester
A new office building in central Winchester that provides 1,750 square feet of space on a formerly derelict site. The main priority of the design was to maximise the use of the space but to retain the historic building line and storey height of the street. Traditional yellow brick is used alongside custom-made window frames. The rear facade is visually broken up in order to correspond with the small-scale, fragmentary pattern of the surrounding buildings. This maintains the varied roofline of the street when viewed from the surrounding hills.
